1.  Who is National Debt Assistance and what makes National Debt Assistance different from other companies?

National Debt Assistance is an Arizona-based corporation helping Americans eliminate their unsecured debt in 1-3 years, while helping them save for their settlements with one low monthly payment.  Our owners are committed to helping people get out of debt.

National Debt Assistance is different from other debt management, debt relief, or debt settlement firms.  Here’s how:

  1. We’ll give you a free, honest assessment of your situation.  No hype or theory, just proven practical advice you can trust.
  2. We have great working relationships with major financial institutions around the globe.  We also work with a high volume of debt settlement accounts.  Our relationships and volume work to your advantage, as creditors appreciate the screening and professionalism behind the National Debt Assistance program.
  3. National Debt Assistance is committed to the highest ethical standards and industry best practices.  Our policies and procedures keep you in complete control of your money at all times.

2.  How will you respond to our inquiry?

The first thing we will do is to thank you for your interest in our professional services. We’ll arrange for one of our senior debt settlement advisors to review your inquiry and to answer any questions. If you qualify for our program, we’ll walk you through the next steps in the process to get you debt free as soon as possible.

3.  How does this work?

Our program is fast, effective and secure.  Here’s an overview of how it works:

  1. We talk with you to see if we can help you.  This takes less than 10 minutes!
  2. If you qualify (see question number 4 for qualification guidelines), we enroll you in our debt reduction program.
  3. We set up a settlement savings account in YOUR NAME under YOUR CONTROL. You will make a single monthly payment into this account to save for your settlements with your creditors.
  4. When sufficient funds accumulate in your debt settlement savings account, our experts approach your creditors to negotiate the settlement of your debt.  We typically negotiate away 50% of the amount you owe on each account.  We’re able to qualify you for these settlements due to our scale, our business relationships with creditors and our knowledge of creditor needs and processes.
  5. Upon graduation of our program (1-3 years for most) you will be free of the unsecured debt you enrolled into the program.

Talk with National Debt Assistance about your situation.

4.  What kinds of debt can be included in National Debt Assistance’s debt settlement program?

You must be in financial hardship and have $10,000 or more in unsecured debt to qualify for our services.  Your financial hardship may be caused by loss of employment, downturn in the economy, divorce, sudden loss of income, catastrophic expense, medical problems or more.

Our services will not be performed for people simply wishing to avoid paying their debts.

Most types of unsecured debt can be included in our debt settlement services.  This includes medical bills, credit card debts, personal loans, and unsecured accounts with collection agencies. National Debt Assistance requires that you include all of these types of debts over $500 in the program.

Certain types of debt cannot be included in the program.  This includes most auto loans and mortgages, child support and alimony payments, payday advances, public utility bills, military accounts, and federal credit unions.

5.  How long does it take to become debt free?

The vast majority of people we work with complete the program in 1-3 years.  Speak with one of our Debt Settlement Advisors for the specifics about your situation. Just call (866) 551-4632 or fill out our online form.

6.  How much does this cost me?

Over the duration of the program your costs are significantly less than the amount of money you save through our debt settlement services.

You have no out of pocket expenses to start our services. Our fee comes out of the monthly payment you make to your bank settlement creditor account. Please contact us and we can review your situation and explain the costs associated with your customized program.

8. What if you cannot get my creditors to settle my debts through your services?

You are always protected when dealing with National Debt Assistance.  We only enroll accounts with creditors we have a history of settling with.

If we accept you into our debt settlement program, that means we are confident in our ability to help you get debt relief.  We are confident in our relationships with creditors and the trust they have in us to be able to help you.  At all times you are in complete control of your money.

9.  What’s the difference between debt settlement and credit counseling services?

Credit counseling services earn money from your creditors (there’s even a term for this called “Fair Share”).  They are paid a percentage of the amount of money you pay a creditor.  That’s why credit counseling companies want you to pay back 100% of what you owe, including interest, late fees and penalties.  The more you pay, the more they make.

Debt settlement services from National Debt Assistance are a little different than those of a credit counseling company.  Here’s how:

  1. Our goal is to negotiate your debts: so you have to pay back less (usually about 50%).
  2. We help you save for your creditor settlements with one low monthly payment.
  3. We create a program to get you debt free in 1-3 years.

When compared to credit counseling companies, the advantages to National Debt Assistance’s debt settlement services are clear.  Learn more about your debt settlement options in our blog.

10. Do I still have control of my money under your debt settlement program?

Absolutely.  National Debt Assistance is acting as your business partner on your behalf.  You retain complete control of your money.

11.  Will you stop creditors from hassling me?

We will help you manage your creditor calls. We cannot stop creditor calls, but we provide management tips to keep them from hassling you. We also give you the tools you need to determine if they are illegally harassing you and the resources to stop it.

Upon acceptance into the program, we send Cease and Desist to almost all of your creditors.

We also give you easy to follow scripts to quickly get off the phone and to have the creditor deal with your representative at National Debt Assistance.  The objective is for National Debt Assistance to handle all creditor interactions on your behalf.
